Darius Rucker has a few cherished traditions to celebrate Christmas in the best way. The Carolyn’s Boy star listed a few beloved holiday movies he watches and his favorite Christmas dish as he winds down to relax after a busy year of making music and touring.

Rucker said it’s a “hard question,” when asked about his favorite Christmas movie. “But it would be a tie between Miracle on 34th Street, which is still just great acting, great movie. I just love it. I love watching it. I watch it probably four times every Christmas and cry at the end every time. And I love Elf. I just think Elf is one of the absolute great stories and just funniest movies I’ve ever seen and it just happens to be a Christmas movie. It’s one of my favorite movies,” he said, per his record label.

The Hootie & the Blowfish star, who released his own collection of holiday music in 2014, describes himself as “a big food guy,” and hails his sister’s sweet potato pie his favorite dish to eat on Christmas: “I love sweet potato pie so much, and I don’t get it very often. And my sisters always make sure I get a couple during Thanksgiving and Christmas, so that’s my favorite thing – sweet potato pie.”

Rucker released Home For The Holidays nearly a decade ago, featuring his renditions of Christmas classics like “Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow,” “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” “Winter Wonderland” and others on the 12-track project.
