Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood are "together again" in the studio. The former Fleetwood Mac bandmates reunited for the first time since Buckingham was fired from the band in 2018.
Producer Carl Falk shared the news, posting photos of the duo working together on Fleetwood's upcoming solo album."Mick and Lindsey together again, what a flawless guitar player," he captioned a photo on Threads.
In an earlier post he wrote: "Slightly unreal moment to sit with Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood to play Lindsey the album we have been working on. And to see his genuine happiness for Mick to finally do his own album and offering to play guitar and to sing on it. Can’t wait to finish this one."
This might be the closest Fleetwood Mac fans get in terms of a reunion. Fleetwood and Stevie Nicks have both said the band would not return after the death of their bandmate Christine McVie in 2022. Nicks also has a strained relationship with Buckingham and recently said she spoke to him for "about three minutes" at McVie's celebration of life.
“I dealt with Lindsey for as long as I could," Nicks added. "You could not say that I did not give him more than 300 million chances.”
