Could Katy Perry be the next star to get her own Las Vegas residency? As of now, the signs point to a very strong "maybe."
Last weekend, the "Bon Appetit" singer was spotted touring the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, she toured the venue for less than an hour and was joined by Caesars Entertainment officials to discuss a possible residency. "She and members of her entourage were shown the balcony and lower-level seating and also visited the Colosseum’s dressing rooms," the outlet wrote.
The timing couldn't be better on the venue's end, considering Celine Dion will be ending her 16-year relationship with the Colosseum on June 8 and they have yet to find a replacement; however, Perry has a busy schedule of her own. There's been talks that she's working on new music. She's planning a wedding with fiancee Orlando Bloom, and that's all on top of her obligations as an American Idol judge.
So does she even have the time to fully execute her own residency in Sin City? If she thinks she can pull it off, she'll join an impressive list of performers to have their own shows, including Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera.
