Justin Timberlake Pledges To Help Nebraska Flood Victims

Justin Timberlake has decided to give back to the community.

On Saturday (March 23), the pop veteran's concert at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska saw him announce that a portion of the evening's ticket sales would be donated to help locals suffering in wake of the flooding in the state. As per KETV, JT said that he would also throw in a personal donation, which Live Nation would match with one of its tour sponsors, Bai, offering to distribute water to the areas. "We want to take a second, that on behalf of all of us on stage, that our hearts go out to those affected by the floods," the entertainer said on-stage. "So here's what we're going to do, we are going to make a donation... When I say we, I mean we. This being the highest grossing show in this venue, each and every one of your tickets are going to be apart of the donation." The Omaha World-Herald reported that JT wore a "Nebraska Strong" shirt during the set and added, "This is the real America right here. Are we Nebraska strong tonight?"

The Nebraska flooding has caused a reported $1 billion in damage to the state's agricultural economy. In fact, Governor Pete Ricketts called it the worst natural disaster in the state's history, with state of emergencies declared in 74 counties and 85 cities. Among the other stars who have pledged assistance for the Nebraska flood victims include Dan+Shay and Larry the Cable Guy. Click here to find out how you can participate in flood relief efforts!
