Fixer Upper Stars Explain Why They're Ending the Show

HGTV fans were horrified when Chip and Joanna Gaines revealed that they were ending their monster hit Fixer Upper. Many fans worried that the pair’s marriage was in trouble. In a new interview on Today, Chip admitted that their relationship was part of the reason they stepped back. "I'll give [viewers] a little credence. There is always ‘What's next?' And for us, the most important thing in the world is Jo and I's relationship, followed very quickly by these four beautiful kids," Chip told Today anchor Savannah Guthrie. "And we didn't want to push it, red line it, for so long that we woke up and realized, we are at a point of no return. So, we wanted to take a step back and focus on the thing that was absolutely the most important thing to us in the world, which is Jo and I's relationship." The couple share four children: Drake, 12; Ella, 11; Duke, 9 and Emmie Kay, 7. And they’re plenty busy with their home improvement business, their magazine The Magnolia Journal, their retail operations and partnership with outlets like Target. The final season of the show debuts November 28th.
