Britney Spears Is Back In Denim As The New Face Of Kenzo: See The Photos

Days after some unauthorized shots hit the blogosphere, Kenzo has come forward to announce that Britney Spears is their new face of the luxury fashion campaign's Collection Memento N° 2 line and it features "the quintessential queen of denim" back in some pieces that nod back to her all denim look from the '01 AMA with Justin Timberlake.

For the new endorsement, which marks Spears' debut luxury fashion campaign, Kenzo decided to hark back to the '80s to pay tribute to their Kenzo Jeans origins from 1986. Shot on location in Paris by Peter Lindbergh, the campaign sees Spears in a number of casual but trendy numbers, including a cropped denim jacket, thigh-high lace-up boots, and a sweatshirt and baseball hat stamped with an old school version of the Kenzo logo. In case you were wondering, Lindbergh shot the famed 1990 British Vogue cover featuring Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Tatjana Patitz and Christy Turlington.

"This collection is very youthful," the singer told Vogue. "We had fun on set, even though it was a bit weird for me at first. I am used to shooting in a studio or a small space, and this was out on the street. We were out there and I had really promiscuous clothes on, which felt odd, but, of course, on film it turned out to be really cool."

Elsewhere in her interview, Spears, who is set to take her Las Vegas "Piece of Me" residency on the road this summer, sounded off on her fashion and why she's not entirely inclined to be a risk tasker as much as she was in her early career. "It's tricky because as a mother, you don’t take as much risk with your style," she admitted. "I think when I was younger I took so many risks and really went for it. There was no planning what I wore, and it was like, okay, I am just going to put on the most outrageous thing. I think as a mother you hold back from that out of fear of embarrassing your kids and out of respect for them."
